If I was given the power to create life as Frankenstein did, I would not create a life.
I think that the power to create life is not ours to take I think that it should be left up to God. Not ours, I also believe that cloning is wrong. It is not our place to determine if we should have that power.
Also with my luck if I did create a life, the life would go crazy and destroy the world in a day. Or worse it would kill me.
So I believe that if I had that power I would pass on creating another life.

My Prereading Thoughts on Frankenstein.
Does man kind have the right to create life himself? As of this point before have read this book, I think that man does not have the right to create life. It is not our place to decides what lives and what does not live in this world.
Everyone has monsters that live in the depths of our soul. But everyone has different monsters that live within us. From emotional monsters to physical monsters we all have them.
I am very excited about the thought of reading the book Frankenstein. This book is a time honored classic, even thought most people have not read this book. Even thought I am not a fan of reading any kind of book I think I will thoroughly enjoy this book.

2012 Theme Word
I chose the word success to try to apply to my life this year. In all things that I attempt to do in this upcoming year, I want to have success.
Success can come in many forms that most people do not think about when they hear the word success. In everything that you do even if you do not accomplish or win in a game or get the highest grade on a test as long as you try your hardest you will have success. Most people when they hear the word success they think that you have to accomplish every task that you attempt. But even if you try your hardest and do not succeed you will still have sucess.
This year no matter what the task that I have at hand I want to have success with every task that I try to do. From getting an A in english to getting a new high score on a game as long as I try my hardest I will have sucess.

My thoughts on My Antonia
Yes, I believe that Willa Cather did offer a little of her view during the pioneer life.Because if it was told from Antonia's perspective, there would have been more of the story about just her and not so much about everybody else. I think that she did a very good job at narrating this story. Jim sounds like a man writing because he was not very specific.I think that the reason that Jim changed the title was because she was part of his family. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel by Willa Cather.

Setting on Your Character.
Author Willa Cather embedded literary devices, such as metaphors, similes, and personification, within her writing.
"As I looked about me I felt that the grass was the country, as the water is the sea. The red of the grass made all the great prairie the colour of wine-stains, or of certain seaweeds when they are first washed up. And there was so much motion in it; the whole country seemed, somehow, to be running."
"The grave, with its tall red grass that was never mowed, was like a little island."
"Winter comes down savagely over a little town on the prairie. The wind that sweeps in from the open country strips away all the leafy screens that hide one yard from another in summer, and the houses seem to draw closer together. The roofs, that looked so far away across the green treetops, now stare you in the face, and they are so much uglier than when their angles were softened by vines and shrubs.

Chunk #1: The setting in the novel is able to help the characters feel at home with there selves. The way that the land looks makes the characters in this novel relax in a time as such in the book. And the setting also makes Antonia not want to leave when she grows up, so she does not leave but marries and stays on the prairie.
Chunk #2: The setting in my life makes me the person that I am today. I would hate to live in the city where I was not capable of seeing the beautiful scenery that I am blessed with. I live in the country, that makes up a huge part in my life. If lived in the city, I could not fish, hunt, or be able to work on farms as I do. I am like a child at Christmas when the time comes that I can go hunting. therefore setting plays a huge part in who I am.

My Rebuttal
The death penalty should be used around the nation.The main reason that the death penalty should be enforced around the nation is because "69% of Americans" agree with the death penalty. The rest of the Americans that do not agree with this are soft hearted individuals. I am part of the bold 69% of Americans that agree with the death penalty. I believe that this form of capital punishment is one of the most effective known to man kind. Only 27% of Americans accuse the death penalty of being morally incorrect in today's modern civilized society that we live in today. That means that the other 77% of Americans believe that the death penalty is morally correct. So why is it not enforce all around the nation? One of the main arguments is that you can not bring back the dead.Or it is a barbaric way to punish someone. However I believe that the death penalty is not barbaric.And I think that you should not have a reason to be accused,if you did not do the crime so if they kill you you should not have got blamed.

Book review over Red Badge of Courage.
Theme, the authors style, and the setting of the book all played a very important part. Those are the three most important parts to this book.
Theme. I believe that the theme of the Red Badge of Courage is personal struggles. A prime example of the theme being overcoming personal struggles is, on page 22 Henry is afraid that when it comes down to it he will run. But on page 116 Henry is not retreating from the battle. So it shows that no matter what your personal struggles in life are, you can overcome them.
Authors style. The authors style during this book was very important to time period that this book was placed in.One example of the authors style is, during the whole book the author spells out the word as they would have been said back then and not in proper english. And he made the book more desirable to read for all ages because he did not get very gory so it was more reader friendly.

Because if this book took place in a town instead of the country the book would have been a completly different book. So the setting in every book plays a significant part.
